Who is Zyra Gorecki?
An American social media star, TV personality and actress, Zyra Gorecki was born in Michigan, USA on 4 July 2002, so Cancer’s her zodiac sign. She has only two acting credits to her name, and is perhaps known best for playing Izzy Harris in the popular mystery science fiction series “La Brea”, created by David Appelbaum, and which stars Natalie Zea, Eoin Macken and Chike Okonkwo. The series follows a group of people who’ve fallen through a massive sinkhole in Los Angeles, California, and have found themselves in a primeval world; the series has been airing since 2021 and has won one of its five award nominations.
Early life and the accident
Zyra and her sister Bailee Gorecki were raised in Michigan by their father Steve and mother Barb, however, nothing else has been shared about Zyra’s family, as she respects their privacy.
She grew up being physically highly active, running nearly every morning and playing a number of sports with her elementary school peers, including soccer and volleyball. Zyra was 13 when she was involved in a logging accident, which led to her leg having to be amputated; although she fell into depression, Zyra eventually received a prosthesis, and returned to living almost the same life as before.
She matriculated from a local high school in 2020, and then enrolled at college, from which she should be graduating in 2024.
Acting credits and TV show appearances
In 2016, Zyra played Stuck Pedestrian in the episode “One Hundred” of the popular action series “Chicago Fire”, which has been airing since 2012, was created by Derek Haas and Michael Brandt, and stars Eamonn Walker, Christian Stolte and Taylor Kinney. It follows a group of paramedics and firefighters working in Chicago, Illinois, and the series has won six of its 29 award nominations.
In 2021, Zyra appeared in an episode of the talk-shows “Today”, “The Kelly Clarkson Show” and “Hollywood First Look Features”.
