Who is Brandi Rhodes?
American professional wrestler and ring announcer, businesswoman, TV personality and model Brandi Alexis ‘Rhodes’ Runnels (nee Reed) was born in Canton, Michigan USA, on 23 June 1983, making her zodiac sign Cancer. She’s probably known best for the time which she spent working with wrestling promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW) as its Chief Brand Officer, while she was also a wrestler.
Brandi’s also known for being the wife of American actor and professional wrestler Cody Garrett Runnels Rhodes.
Education and early life
Brandi was raised in Canton alongside her brother Jason Reed, by their father Dusty Rhodes and mother whose name remains undisclosed; Brandi can rarely be heard talking about her family in public because she respects their privacy, but it’s believed that her mother’s a housewife, and her father a retired doctor.
She began taking ice-skating lessons at the age of four, and went on to become a competitive figure skater; Brandi practiced the sport for 17 years until quitting aged 21, wanting to focus on her career in broadcasting. She studied at a local high school in Canton, and upon matriculating in 2001, enrolled at University of Michigan on a scholarship, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2005.
She continued her education at the University of Miami, from which she graduated with a Master’s degree in broadcast journalism in 2007.
Brandi’s career
Brandi launched her career as a model upon graduating from the University of Miami, and was after four years invited to a tryout in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE); she signed a contract with WWE in March 2011, and was assigned to Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). She appeared as a ring girl for the first time a month later, alongside Lucky Cannon, and used ‘Brandi’ as her ring name.
In May 2011, she became a ring announcer on the TV program “WWE Superstars”, and also on “NXT” two months later, this time under the ring name Eden Stiles. Brandi was a ring girl on “SmackDown” episodes which aired on 15 July and 11 November 2011, but requested to be released from her contract with WWE in December of the same year.
Brandi revealed on Twitter in November 2013 that she was returning to WWE, and then began using the ring name ‘Eden’; she also started running a video blog, which was published on WWE’s official website. In October 2014, she worked on the shows “Main Event” and “SmackDown” as the backstage interviewer and ring announcer, before on 24 May 2016, both she and her husband Cody were released from their WWE contracts.

On 15 October 2016, Brandi wrestled and beat American professional wrestler and powerlifter Patricia Forrest Parker at Pro Wrestling Magic, and went on to defeat American professional wrestler Tessa Blanchard at Northeast Wrestling on 15 July 2017; Brandi beat both Viper and Bea Priestley at Fight Forever Wrestling in the following year.
Some of her other notable matches during those years were in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling and Impact Wrestling in 2016 and 2017, the Ring of Honor in 2017 and 2018, and World Wonder Ring Stardom in 2018.
It was in 2019 that Brandi joined AEW as their Chief Brand Officer, after the wrestling promotion had been co-founded by her husband. She wrestled her first match on 13 July 2019, in a winning effort against Allie, while the following months saw her accompany her husband to his matches.
On 15 February 2022, Brandi and her husband left AEW.

Brandi launched her YouTube channel “Brandi Rhodes” on 28 May 2016, and there are today over 20,000 people subscribed to it, while all her 13 videos combined have been watched nearly 300,000 times; most of these feature Brandi teaching her fans about preparing delicious and healthy foods, and we’re going to mention three of her most popular YouTube videos.
Her #1 video “Ep 6 PROSECCAKE!” has been watched nearly 90,000 times since 13 September 2018, and features her teaching her fans to make the Prosecco cake.
Her second most popular video “SOB ep 3 Whiskey Business” has been watched over 30,000 times since 22 August 2018, and shows her preparing whiskey chicken.
Brandi’s video #3 is “SOB ep 13 Gimme That Nog”, viewed more than 22,000 times since 24 December 2018, and features her making Egg Nog Bread.

Brandi’s followed by over 850,000 people on Instagram, and she’s posted close to 3,500 pictures and videos onto the social media network – most of her newer content features her spending time with her and Cody’s daughter.
She launched her Twitter account in October 2009, and there are today close to 500,000 people following her, while she’s tweeted over 16,000 times; most of which are wrestling-related.
Brandi also has a Facebook page, and it’s followed by nearly 50,000 fans.

Love life and husband
Brandi and Cody married in a large ceremony on 12 September 2013, attended by over 300 of their family members and friends.
Cody’s probably best known for his career as a wrestler, and he’s today signed to WWE; he began attracting attention in 2006, when he began wrestling in WWE under his real name. He’s also ventured into the film industry, and is perhaps best known for his playing of Derek Sampson in the hit action crime adventure series “Arrow”, and Kurt Smoller in the mystery science fiction series “Warehouse 13”.
Brandi gave birth to her and Cody’s daughter Liberty Iris Runnels on 18 June 2021, and the girl can be seen featured in many of Brandi and Cody’s Instagram pictures and videos.
Brandi hasn’t mentioned the men whom she’d dated prior to meeting Cody Rhodes, to whom she’s married as of November 2022, and they have a daughter together.

American professional wrestler and mixed martial artist Schuyler Andrews aka Scorpio Sky is Brandi’s cousin; he’s currently signed to AEW.
