Growing up, Suggs played a lot of football. He attended Chandler High School, before moving to Hamilton High School, where he played for the school’s football team and set the Arizona Class 5A record for rushing yards. While he played football he also lettered three times in basketball, and once in track and field.
After matriculating, he attended Arizona State University where he played as a defensive end for the Arizona State Sun Devils football team from 2000 to 2002.
