Steve attended Thomas Jefferson High School and later enlisted into the army. During his time of service in the Army, Lawrence singing career started when he became the official vocal soloist of “Pershing’s Own” along with The United States Army Band, stationed in Washington, D.C.
After completing his service, Lawrence his love for music continued, and he performed in night clubs and television shows.
