Liane Moriarty, born on the 15th of November 1966, is an Australian author who became famous for her novels “The Husband Secret”, and “Big Little Lies” that was recently turned into a television series in HBO.

Born in Sydney, Australia, Moriarty is the oldest of six children one of which is Jaclyn Moriarty, also a fellow author.
Right after studying, Moriarty’s career started in advertising and marketing working at a legal publishing company. Later on she opened her own company called The Little Ad Agency, but unfortunately it didn’t succeed.
Moriarty got an awakening when she heard that her sister’s novel “Feeling Sorry for Celia” was about to be published. She took a master’s degree at Macquarie University and later on wrote her first book “Three Wishes” in 2004, as part of completing her studies.
Moriarty’s second book followed in 2006 entitled “The Last Anniversary”, and in 2009 she also started writing children’s books under the name L.M.
