Harper is probably best known for his role of Dr. Sheldon Hawkes in the CBS’s TV show “CSI: NY”. Harper’s “Letters to an Incarcerated Brother: Encouragement, Hope, and Healing for Inmates and Their Loved Ones” was nominated for a NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Literary Work – Non-Fiction in 2014. Hill Harper openly supported President Barack Obama and participated in a music video “Yes We Can” in 2008. He is a member of the Obama for America National Finance Committee. Harper was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2011, but the treatment was successful, and he was cured. He has been in a romantic relationship with Chloe Flower since 2012.
